We have talked about a lot of our high school athletes this fall. With the fall season wrapping up, the end of the year honors are also starting to come out.
Now some of you younger athletes need to pay attention to this next sentence. If you don’t start changing your work ethic around, you will not be receiving any end of the year honors. I mean that.
You are getting to the stage in your athletic development where athleticism is not enough. Everybody is catching up to you. You must start enhancing it. If not, you will be passed by.
I’m not just talking being passed by on end of the year honors, but also passed by for playing time
That being said, the following athletes that have trained with us DID NOT have a lazy work ethic. They busted their butt all the time in our drills and I’m sure it carried on to their practices.
Congrats on all the kudos you get this fall!!
- Hartley is in the regional finals and a big part of it has been the play of Alexander Blackmon. Alexander made second team All-District in Division 3. He also has been nominated as a finalist for This Week News’s athlete of the year.
- We’ve mentioned Preston Eisnaugle all year long and for the second year in a row, he has been named the first team All-District quarterback for Division 4.
- Liv Penegor had a nice senior season for Wellington and made first team All-MSL Ohio. Nice job Liv!
- Speaking of soccer, Isabella Ginocchi made second team All-CCL as a sophomore. Big things ahead for this soccer stud!
- Gilberto Quintero made first team All-CCL for Watterson and will be continuing his soccer career in college. Great for him! DJ Brown finished his senior season as well for Watterson making second team All-CCL.
- Gabby Mahaffey made second team All-CCL as a freshman for DeSales. She had some big games this year playing for the first time at the high school level.
- Sam Massick came to us to get better for soccer. Who knew he was going to be a first team Division 5 All-District kicker? He still holds records at our facility.
- Bouncing back from an injury and making a full recovery, Mara Follmer had a fun season making Special Mention All-OCC Buckeye. Her Olentangy Liberty soccer team made it to the state final four this year. That will make a lasting memory.
Keep us posted in case we missed anybody for mentions. Congrats everyone!!
